We'd been hunting for a new house for a year or so when we found our house in early 2003. It took a while to reach an agreement with the seller, but we finally closed escrow in April 2003. We spent the rest of 2003 planning the remodel and demolition started at the end of the year. We've been taking pictures of the progress during 2004 and 2005.

We must extend a huge thanks to the architect Richard Morrison and to the general contractor Eddie Rodiack for the spectacular jobs they both did. The fact that Richard found the wonderful spaces in the jumble of rooms the house originally had is truly amazing. E.W.Rodiack is that almost unbelievable "good contractor." He did a great job of managing the construction and the owners, keeping the job moving and us up to date on progress. He even finished on time!
