Mary's Visit 2007: Monaco

Mary loves anything glittery. In fact her first dream job was to be the person that got to glue the fake rhinestone's on the walls of Disneyland's ride "Snow White and the Seven Dawrfs". She loved Monaco and the excitement was high at our arrival at the Hotel Hermitage. Close to prime shopping we took off in search of something glittery. 15 minutes later she had swooped in on a pair of impossibly high but very shiny metallic pink espadrilles made by a London designer keeping with our criteria "not easily found in the USA." As you can see these shoes are great fun! Next we bought tons of Lise Charmel lingerie while still expensive by American standards significantly less here. After a delicious dinner at the Hermitage's Michelin star restaurant where Mary got to sample her first delicious Grand Cru Chablis (she didn't know it could be a nice wine) with lobster we looked forward to an entire day of Spa treatments the next day. As you can see the spa has a wonderful waterfront setting. Ahhh. Immensely rejuvenated we headed back to Biot to repack for our trip to Provence the following morning.
